We took a taxi home this evening. After we got off the taxi, I discovered that I gave the taxi driver a $50 bill, thinking that it was a $20 bill. Yep! The taxi was already gone!
Luckily, there is only one way for the taxi to get out where we live. So I quickly ran to the only exit and waited for him. I stopped him and explained to him what happened. He looked at the bill I handed him (he has a unique filing system of stuffing bills into his shirt pocket, and in order, thank goodness!) and gladly gave me the extra money back! Gosh! He is a really honest taxi driver! He really made my day!
You know what? HK$50 bill = green colour, HK$20 bill = blue colour….
You know what? They don’t turn on the lights in the car at night when you give them money, that is part of their scam.
